Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) has been stopping bleeding and breaking fevers for thousands of years. Named for Achilles himself, this flat-topped white flowering herb is one of the most versatile wound plants in the Traiteur tradition — used as a poultice for cuts, a tea for fevers and colds, and a wash for inflammation. It adapts beautifully to Louisiana’s prairie edges and sunny garden beds.
