How Orders Are Processed
Order & Payment
- Once your order is completed and payment is received, our system assigns an order number.
- All orders must be paid in full before plants can be reserved and prepared for shipment.
- If you choose an offline payment method (such as mailing a check), please contact us immediately so we can note your payment method and hold your order.
Order Confirmation
- You will receive an automatic confirmation email with an itemized list of your plants.
- If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder and whitelist "@bigmamouenterprises.com".
- If no confirmation is found, contact us so we can verify your order was successfully accepted.
Accuracy of Information
- Please review your order details carefully.
- Big Mamou Enterprises is not responsible for undelivered orders caused by incorrect shipping information provided at checkout.
Shipping Schedule
Shipping Timeline
- Paid orders received by Wednesday at 11:59 PM CST are normally shipped the following week.
- You may request a future shipping week (up to 6 months ahead). If you need a date beyond that, contact us and we will accommodate you whenever possible.
Compliance & Preparation
- Live plants must meet state and federal shipping requirements.
- This preparation typically requires 48–72 hours before shipment.
Tracking & Delivery
Shipping Notifications
- Once your shipping label is created, you will receive an email from the carrier (FedEx or USPS) containing your tracking number.
- Please whitelist "@fedex.com", "@usps.com", and "@bigmamouenterprises.com" to ensure tracking emails arrive safely.
If You Do Not Receive Tracking
- If you have not received a tracking email by Friday of your scheduled shipping week, contact us.
Upon Delivery
- Open your package and unwrap your plants as soon as possible.
- If immediate unpacking isn't possible, keep the box in a cool, shaded area until you can.
- Your invoice will include basic unpacking and care instructions. Additional growing guides are available on our website.
Delayed Delivery
- If your plants do not arrive within 3–5 days of receiving your tracking email, please notify us.
Shipping Costs
How Shipping Is Calculated
Shipping charges are based on:
- Your zip code shipping zone
- The number of plant units in your order (2.25–4.5" pots = 1 unit; quart pots = 2 units)
To help reduce costs, shipping rates are grouped in blocks (1–4 units, 5–8 units, etc.). Filling the box lowers the cost per plant.
Our Guarantee
Healthy Arrival Guarantee
- We guarantee your plants will arrive healthy and ready to grow under normal, satisfactory conditions.
- If there is an issue with your shipment, notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order.
- When appropriate, we may replace the plant, issue store credit, or refund the original purchase price.
Satisfaction Window
- If you are not fully satisfied with your order, contact us within 10 days of receipt and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
What We Cannot Guarantee
Conditions Beyond Our Control
We cannot guarantee plants that are damaged due to:
- Extreme temperatures
- Improper light, wind, or chemical exposure
- Neglect after delivery
- Plants left in their packaging for an extended period
- Incorrect shipping addresses
- Cold-sensitive plants ordered during unsuitable weather
Redirecting Packages
- Once a package has been transferred to USPS or FedEx, we may not be able to redirect it reliably.
Special Delivery Instructions
- If your package requires special handling instructions, contact us before shipment and we will include them on the box.
