La Feuille Qui Parle — The Talking Leaf | Bilingual Story & Craft PDF

A little wind. A rustling leaf. A story waiting to happen.

Join Camille and Mamère on the porch as they listen to leaves, notice birds, and find a quiet moment of gratitude. La Feuille Qui Parle — The Talking Leaf is Book 1 in Big Mamou Enterprises’ Bayou Children’s Folklore & Craft Series, an original imagined story inspired by Louisiana family life.

Inside this five-page PDF

• The story in English and Cadien-inspired French.
• Bayou Wind Book craft instructions in both languages.
• A printable page for a leaf or drawing, imagined sounds, and gratitude.

Suggested for ages 5–9 with adult supervision. Children can use adult-approved fallen leaves or draw their own instead. The activity distinguishes what children hear from what they imagine: leaves rustle, but do not speak words or give reliable weather forecasts.

Digital PDF only. No printed booklet, leaves, or craft supplies included. Nothing is shipped.

This is original fiction, not a documented traditional folk tale. French expressions vary by family and community. For personal and family use.
